I’m Not Gambling With My Entertainment

You are always promised a fantastic show at any casino resort and certainly recently some of the casinos have been going all out to keep the players satisfied. With the news announced that KISS will be showing up at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa to sign autographs for fans got me wondering. Who is appearing on the strip these days? It is well known that KISS have a pretty specific audience and it wouldn’t surprise me if their fans turned out in full makeup and costumes.

A real favourite is making a return to Las Vegas and I would think he will certainly pull in some fans. Barry Manilow will be crooning those dulcet tones in Sin City as he has signed up for a two year show with the Paris Las Vegas hotel. This brilliant performance is scheduled to begin during Spring 2010.

If he isn’t to your taste, then the Black Eye Peas are already signed up for Dick Clark’s New Year Special, funnily enough on New Year’s Eve. The Las Vegas line-up includes performances by The Black Eyed Peas, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Keri Hilson, Colbie Caillat, Robin Thicke and Orianthi.

If the Las Vegas Wynn can manage to sign up Beyonce, that will be a real coup for them. She performed there earlier this year for a couple of months, but negotiations are already under way to bring her back for a much longer session. Her shows certainly provided a much needed boost to Wynn and its sister, Encore Las Vegas resort during a slow tourist season in Las Vegas.

Finally, for all you 1980s fans out there, I was delighted to come across this act at the Palms. Billed as ‘Singing Sensation’ Matt Goss of the Bros phenomenon will be appearing. It doesn’t really surprise me. With all the news in the media about punters refusing to pay their bills to casinos, it was only a matter of time before the new Vegas anthem became ‘I owe You Nothing’!
