The Secret To My Golf Game
There are people who are new to the game of golf, taking it up every day. One of the first things they will do, is find someone who has some experience, and ask for a few tips to help them. The hunt for tips continues throughout your golfing career. I could listen to the old timers for many hours at a time as they explain the way they see and do things on the course. I have added many things from some of their experiences to my own game.
But even with all these tips, I felt I was missing something. In my gut I knew that something was out there that I needed, but I could not figure out what it was. I tried just about everything I read about or anybody would share with me to improve my game. I even enlisted some personal training in order to find my way and feel like I was as competitive as anybody else.
The feeling of lacking something began to take me over. I tried to put my finger on it, but my mind could not come up with what it was. I entered a lot of different tournaments, and in some showed well, and in others tanked out. My game seemed to be stuck where it was. An understanding friend loaned his best golf instruction book to me, and I eagerly read it through and added some of the strategies to my game. I still had that lacking feeling.
I was searching for something that would give me an edge. An extra vein of confidence that I seemed to be missing. I could not put my finger on what I was looking for, but I knew if I could find it, I would be a much better golfer than I was at that time. I worked hard at improving my game with what I knew. I played often, and tried to play courses that were very challenging.
I finally got to a point where my game just stayed at about the same level. I went up some, and down some, but generally stayed around the same level of ability. I was getting stale, and a little discouraged. I laid awake nights trying to figure out what it was I felt I was missing. But nothing came to me. I figured maybe I was as good as I was going to get.
Finally, I decided just to let it go. Forget this thing that nagged me day in and day out. The days passed as I tried to push it out of my mind. I was tired of being troubled about it all the time. I went out on the porch one day to read my paper on the swing. I saw some little children in the next yard playing. They had dug up a pretty blue marble from the ground, and they were all excited about finding it. Then, they took turns holding it and making wishes while they held it. A light came on suddenly in my brain.
While I was watching, the kids were digging around in their yard, and found a pretty little blue marble. They all smiled and wanted to hold it. And as they passed it around, each one closed their hand around it and made a wish. That was it! Since we were children, we have all believed in having a good luck charm. Before I teed off in the tournament the next day, I put my rhodium plated wedding ring to my lips and kissed it. I golfed the best game of my career. Simple, and yet very powerful. Belief was the missing ingredient.
Are Golf Shoes Essential for the Beginner Golfer?
As you probably know, there are shoes for virtually every sport possible. There are few sports that don’t have a special shoe that is intended to improve the way you play while wearing them. Yet many of us can’t afford to always buy all of the additional sports equipment like shoes that are needed. Many golf beginners often question if it is really necessary to purchase golf shoes to basically play golf. In trying to balance money concerns with safety considerations there are a couple of things that you must keep in mind.
Golf Shoes are Expensive and Not Used That Often
Your first consideration should be your talent level. A newbie usually can’t justify the cost to buy golf shoes. They’re certainly not cheap, and since they are only can only be worn while on the golf course they have got a really limited use outside of the golf course. While basketball and tennis shoes can be worn in diverse situations, the golfing shoes must remain on the golf course to avoid damaging them, or the flooring on which you are walking on.
The Importance of Comfortable Golf Shoes
If you are a very talented golfer or even have a tendency to play quite often , you may need to invest in a good pair of golf shoes. Usually investing in golfing shoes will need you to get a pair of shoes that you are basically thoroughly comfortable wearing. You must remember that many golf courses need you to do a large amount of walking so you need something that fits comfortably. Something with lots of cushioning as well as a good fit is important.
Safety Requirements
You need to also contact the golfing courses where you plan on playing. There are some who need golf shoes for you to play. While this could seem like a little bit of a spoilsport if you were not planning to buy golfing shoes initially, the golf course obliging the shoes is a safety concern to ensure that you do not slip or slide while you are swinging your club. A good pair of golfing shoes has spikes that dig into the ground a bit while you are standing which will provide a little bit of additional traction and make sure that you aren’t slipping the first moment you swing the club.
Golf Shoe Brands
Taking your time to research for golfing shoes is a particularly sensible idea. There are dozens if not hundreds of different colors so occasionally choosing the best color that you like could be a bit of a tough decision. In addition, not all shoes are made equally. The shoe that’s best for your foot won’t be best for somebody else. Also, there are many different styles that you can select from, as well as all the different brands, materials and price ranges.
Increase Your Performance on the Golf Course with a Good Pair of Shoes
Even for a golf beginner, selecting the right shoes to play in will ensure that you are snug, as well as have the traction that you need while playing. If you are playing lots of golf, you will quickly see how a good pair of golfing shoes can do wonders to help improve your comfort level as well as your game of golf. Never discount the ability of golf shoes to seriously increase your overall performance in a game. Taking the time to actually try on many pairs of shoes will ensure your final choice is sturdy as well as comfortable in a style and colour that you like and enjoy wearing.
Golf Trolleys Go Solar?
When you start to get a bit older it can be very diffiuclt to actually walk an entire course with your golf trolley. Many people would like to use a battery powered golf trolley but feel there are better things to spend their money on than constantly getting golf trolley batteries and of course 12v batteries.
On top of these reasons there are others on why the golf trolley is a pain in the butt. One of the biggest problems is that many people forget to charge the thing up which of course means they hit some big problems the next day! Sometimes it just cannot be done and the older people may have to stop a golf game just because they havent got their electric trolley charged up.
So with the world moving to the greener options why on earth has nobody brought out a green golf trolley? Most days in which you play golf the sun is shining and you have to drink a hell of a lot just to keep cool. Something as small as the golf trolley means that if you were to fit a solar panel onto it, in theory it could power it on the go. So the options you would have are much better, you could charge it up at night by the mains or do it on the move via the sun.
Although in theory this is actually a really cool idea it may not actually take just a short time to charge up so you could end playing the front 9 whilst wheeling the trolley around. Is that really a bad thing? Perhaps it would encourage the lazy people to actually get a bit of excercise when they are playing golf.

Talking About Big Bertha FT-3 Produced by Callaway Golf
This Callaway Golf product incorporates what is known as fusion technology. This special technology alters and blends the weight of the driving head of the driver to compensate for the kind of dangle that the golfer is adventuring. This driver is known as the Big Bertha FT 3 fusion driver and there are 3 assorted types of this Callaway Golf driver to decide from.
Specifically, the driving head of these three types of Callaway Golf drivers in this line each weigh 44 grams. The difference in each of these 3 types is how the weight is altered and built into the driver. There are three particular areas to the driver that make up the full 44 grams of weight. If the golfer, when driving the golf ball, experiences a fade or a slice, the appropriate Big Bertha FT-3 driver to select is the draw driver. The weight of this driver is heavier towards the opposite side of where the fade is experienced.
A golfer who experiences a hooking or a drawing with their drive is advised to select the fade style of this Callaway Golf driver. In this type of driver the weight is shifted towards the opposite side of the experienced hook or draw.
The 3rd type of driver in this Big Bertha category is the neutral driver. The full 44 grams of weight contained in the driver is, for the most part, situationed evenly amongst the 3 particular spaces of the driver. The resulting effect of this fusion technology that is built into the Big Bertha FT 3 fusion driver compensates for the swing of the golfer that may be to either side of the center of gravity. This compensation ultimately allows for the golfer to obtain a golfing drive that is straighter in projection.
Other features of this Callaway Golf driver include a face that is made from titanium. In addition the design of this club allows for a larger area that is conducive to making contact with the golf ball. These special factors, along with the fusion technology, allow for the golfer to complete a distance that will develop their game.

Where did the game of golf originate?
It was way back in the 13th century that the game of golf was first recorded. It was very surprising to hear that it was in the Netherlands. The game was played with a basic stick and a leather ball. Whoever hit the ball the furthest and the least number of times was considered the winner.
The modern day game of golf is however thought to have originated in Scotland. The word golf may have been derived from the Dutch word “kolf” meaning stick or club. The very first 18 hole golf course was also in Scotland. Also the very first written rules were said to have come from the Scots.
It wasn’t long before the game had come over to England. The oldest playing golf course in the world is the Old Links at Musselburgh in East Lothian. It was reputed that Mary Queen of Scots in fact played there back in 1567.
It is not the case that golf courses have always been 18 holes. Early golfers at St Andrews made a trench through the rough land playing just eleven holes which were laid out end to end from the clubhouse to the far end of the property. Once reaching the end they would turn round and play their way back therefore making a total of 22 holes. It was decided that some of the holes were too short so they became integrated and finished up as 18 holes as we know it today.
Golfing equipment has come on in leaps and bounds in recent times. It was in the 1930’s that the US Golf Association advocated a standard weight and size for golf balls. It was stated that the speed of the golf ball should not exceed 250 feet per second and since this time it has continued to develop and make an impact on the way the game is played.
Another big factor is the evolution of the golf club. The very early ones were constructed of wood. Hickory became the standard wood used for shafts and Persimmon was the wood for the club head because of its hardness and strength. As the golf ball evolved and became much more durable it was then that the iron headed clubs were introduced to the game. In the 1890’s steel shafts were developed .
In the early 1970’s shaft technology was introduced to the use of graphite shafts with lightweight titanium heads which meant the head could be made much larger.
The equipment has been developed massively with the help of modern day technology and now we have more golf equipment than you would have imagined possible. Our forbears were not lucky enough to have such things as golf trolleys and golf buggies to transport them round the course. However one thing that has stood the test of time is the sociable drink at the 19th hole at the end of a round of golf!
Are You Ready to Improve Your Golf Swing?
Golf has become the most challenging game in the world that involves the number of people that participate in the activity. This is partly because those who pursue the game of golf except frustration as part of the challenge and fun of playing the sport.
Because of the dedication of so many people to the game that is loved so much, golf continues to command the attention of those players still searching for numerous ways to reduce the frustration and increase the pleasure of golf.
Consequently, hundreds, if not thousands of books and magazines have been published toward this end. Regardless of how many books are read, and how much time and effort is spent on behalf of pleasure-seeking golfers, problems will always occur. Interestingly enough, that is part of golf's fascination.
Nothing is more gratifying for established golfers than to have a perfect golf swing and to be able to keep the swing intact through adjustments or corrections. It is a continually self-rewarding experience. The biomechanics of golf swing, however, is as unpredictable as the weather and as capricious as the wind. It is not uncommon in golf for even the best of professional players to sense that their swing “has a mind of its own”.
You should strive to fully understand the golf swing, though difficult, will help you overcome most difficulties in playing golf. In the beginning, you prevent problems by using basic fundamentals to develop a sound, consecutive swing, and you correct further problems by using fundamentals to adjust or correct very specific parts of your swing that relate to these problem areas.
Because of the complexity of the swing and it's somewhat capricious nature, not even experienced professional golf players are able to find and correct recurrent problems in golf, and they have long since learned that the problems must be corrected because the swing cannot be forced to conform.
Many golfers find that the more they force a golf swing into conformity the more problematic it becomes. When your golf swing problems continue over and over, even the best players have to accept that something is wrong and ask for help.
Yes, even professional players seek professional help for golf swing tips. You might be surprised to know that seeing a flaw can sometimes be easier than feeling one in the swing. Even average golfers hoping to develop their golf swing with the basics, should be selective in finding a good instructor just as a pro golfer would. When selecting a professional instructor, you should insure that their knowledge is grounded in the basics of golf.
