The 4 Best Football Players In The Premier League
Which footballers do think are the best in the English Premier League? This is the type of conversation that one has with their mates during the weekend. In this article I will be writing about “my top four”; I hope you enjoy the read.
The Premier League is without doubt the best league for drama, passion and excitement in Europe. Just comparing it with the Italian Serie A and you see that the two leagues are a million miles apart, unless you enjoy watching boring defence minded and extremely one paced football – or unless you are an Italian!
I am not a footballer myself and I am not involved within the media; the following players are just my personal opinion as to the players that I believe merit being in the top four. I am in fact a speech coach offering a stuttering course to help people to gain fluency; I am also involved with other projects that include selling front doors and working with a team of cost reduction experts who enable people to obtain cheap calls.
Returning back to my best four players; in top spot I would have to have the main man himself; the one and only Steven Gerrard. He is a top class football player. Some would argue that he has never really “done it” for England however I am sure he will put that right in next years World Cup. Steven is certainly a real captain marvel; driving his team forward with a real passion. He is a scouser through and through who always gives one hundred percent.
In second spot I would have to pick John Terry. He is very much a team player, a great motivator and he leads by example; a real champion. As well as being a dominant central defender who is an excellent reader of the game he also chips in with a few goals.
In third place I have Frank Lampard. This midfield dynamo just seems to get better and better. He is the model professional who like Steven Gerrard scores a great number of goals from midfield. I personally would play Frank in the centre of midfield for England with Gerrard “in the hole”, real football fans will understand what I mean by this.
Then there is the fourth place position and this may be slightly controversial as I have chosen Ashley Cole. I really do not want to pick Ashley as he annoys the hell out of me with his petulant behaviour. He is however an excellent player and his FA Cup final performance in the win against Everton (for Chelsea) was quite outstanding.
Well there we have it – my top four – what do you think?
Can Michael Owen Make The English Team For The World Cup?
Has Michael Owen lost his legs? Do you think he should still command a regular starting place in the England team? Have the many injuries that Michael Owen has suffered throughout his career affected him too much? Has Michael lost some of his passion to the play at the top level of the game? In this article I give my own opinion about these questions, I hope you enjoy the read.
Michael Owen burst onto the international football stage with what can only be described as a wonder goal against Argentina in the World Cup. He had an amazing amount of speed at this age and his finishing was awesome. The future was very exciting for his club, country and of course for himself.
At this stage I should point out that I am not and have not ever been involved with professional football. In my working life I am involved with offering therapy stuttering, selling composite front doors and also offering advice on jobs in foster care.
Going back to Owen, he played for Liverpool for many years and scored lots and lots and goals. A couple of years ago he moved clubs to Real Madrid. At Madrid he did not in my opinion seem to get much a chance, however his goals to games ratio was still very impressive. During this period Michael started to have a few problems with niggly injuries. For whatever reason this player has been unable to stay free from injury for any great length of time~For whatever reason this player has been unable to stay free from injury for any great length of time}. Last season he moved clubs again with a big money move to Newcastle United. He now had the chance to play again with his good friend and England national team mate Alan Shearer. Owen however has played only a handful of games for his new club due to his fitness levels.
It seems that Owen is now on his way back and think that Michael is way past his best, I think that due to the fact that he is not getting any younger and all of the injuries he has sustained, that he has without doubt lost some of his electric pace. He is one hell of a forward player and I have every confidence that he will remain so for many years to come.
Michael Owen has never in my opinion let England down. Michael just seems to have that nack of being in the right place at the right time; that is of course what has made him into the World class striker that he once was and what some people still think he is – just ask Sir Alex Ferguson for example. I would prefer to see Michael come off the bench for say the last thirty-five minutes of matches instead of starting the games. I think England should have lanky Peter Crouch with another pacy striker such as Theo Walcott to really rough up and bruise the opposition. Michael could then come on when they are starting to become a bit weary.
I do not think Michael Owen has lost any of his passion or desire to play for club or country. In fact I think the opposite is true. He will be itching to get back to somewhere near his best and will be very determined to help his country to win the World Cup.

I have to be truthful with you I am not and never have been involved with professional football. In my working life I am involved with stuttering therapy, DVD authoring and also offering advice on becoming a foster parent.

Michael Owen has never in my opinion let England down. He always seems to pop up with a goal and has certainly been one the nations hero’s over the last eight years. Going back to my top four – the numero uno player has to be Mr Liverpool himself, Steven Gerrard. He is just one hell of a player. Global soccer player faces jail
The global English football star, Steven Gerrard could be put in prison for up to five years if he is found guilty of assault in Liverpool earlier this week. The alleged assault was bought up from by a disturbance at a Merseyside nightclub on December 26th. Liverpool football club have issued a statement saying that they would offer Steven all the help he needs in order to get him out of this mess. The 28 year old was arrested along with five other men near the Lounge Inn in Southport which is on the outskirts of Liverpool. A 34 year old man was taken to hospital with facial injuries after the alleged incident.
Steven Gerrard has played for Liverpool for the last ten years and in all fairness similar accusations regularly pop up around famous football stars as they are constantly in the lime light with the public. The Football Association in the UK said it would not be making any comment on the situation regarding Steven Gerrard and his position in the England squad was not under question. The FA added that players will continue to be considered for playing for their national team while police investigations are being processed.
Steven Gerrard has been capped by England 70 times and has captained his country four times which is an incredible professional football achievement. He was made an MBE last year and received an honorary fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University. There is no doubt that he is one of the best footballers this country has seen and to think that he may spend time in a local prison is almost impossible to believe. We will simply have to wait and see the outcome yet it not un-heard of that global stars such as, Steven Gerrard always get accused of things like this when in actual fact they are not true what so ever!
